I can't log in as the system administrator, but I can log in as Guest. Does this get me any where to change the password or delete a file so the admin password is reset

You can reset the admin password only by purchasing a special piece of software that costs around 70 dollars, I've had to do it once myself unfortunately, and there's no other way out. I want to say it's made by... sun software? Another way, but more complicated, is to do as described here: https://tipster.stormrad.com/win2k/resetpassword.html

A lot of thimes a password is never entered for the administrator acct. The logon would be administrator and a blank password would be used. It's worth a try...
