Hey Z,
Too late, I did the xp2 over the weekend on all 3 pc's. Everything worked out ok. It now takes twice as long for the things to boot up since it loads all that extra crap. And it doesn't think my version of norton is a anti-virus software, but I worked around that. The firewall was a pain, I already turned that thing off. All in all, I'd say it was pretty much a waste of time.

Mark, I figured that I would let you know that what you did was a good choice. Microsoft did a lot of development with XP SP2 and there is a lot of security features and enhancements that are running in the background, that you are not able to see. Microsoft's release of Xp was way too early and SP2 has made XP become a stable and secure operating system. I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and have seen Microsoft evolve over the years. I think definately it was a worthwhile upgrade. There has been a few flaws with the install that has known screw up computers but most the time it installs perfectly and you just have that much of a better computer. If anything is not working properly, just let me know and I will try to help you.

Austin,
everything seems to be working fine, now that I've had it awhile, I like it. It does take longer to boot up though, there must be a bunch of stuff running in the background. Windoze always has been a memory hog though.
