I'm trying to get my wife's iBook provided by her school to connect to our wireless network at home. I guess the first question should be, is it even compatible with standard 802.11b equipment? I have gone into my wireless router settings and added the mac address to the Mac filter, turned on broadcasting of the ssid, and the laptop does see the network but will still not connect. I am using a network key but in the Mac screen it keeps referring to a password instead of wep key. What am I missing? Any help appreciated.
