Zedo is a data miner. Do a google search for the removal tool. AdAware and PestPatrol will not remove it.

Just want to toss this out incase no one here has heard or tried it yet, I try and stay on top of things on my machine here and even with AVG, spybot, ccleaner, adaware etc. this little puppy dug up almost 400 cooties everything else never saw, I have only used it once but have decided when it is house cleaning time this will be the first thing I use to scan my system.........enjoy https://www.ewido.net/en/

Spybot works good, I use that alot in conjunction with Adaware. You might want to start up in safe mode and see if you can remove it that way. I have nbeen able to remove some of them that way.

Don't forget to check you add/remove programs to see if there is anything in there you do not want (websearch...)

I had the same problem and went to norton internet security and it did the trick.
It totally stopped pop ups and for the most part virus protection.

Here's what I do periodically to all the PC's at my house (free!): - Run both Ad-Aware and Spybot only to download their updates. - Open IE and clear the cache, history and cookies from Tools->Internet Options. - Reboot into safe mode and run Ad-Aware (full scan). Once that is done, I'll run Spybot ("Immunize" and "Search for Problems"). - Reboot again and visit https://housecall.trendmicro.com to run their online scanner. ("Complete" searches for spyware and viruses) This regimen has worked out well for me, but occasionally there are nasties that I have to manually remove. There are online forums where people will walk you through the process, if need be.
