I have used it for a year...seems pretty good for the price. Try Avast as well...seems more robust and the same price.

I had ran with Norton for many years finally decided it was way to top heavy and too costly for what I was getting in return, I did a fresh reinstall almost 2 years ago I went with AVG and wish I had done it long ago……

I used AVG free and it worked fine up until about a year ago. Then they quit supporting updates for the old version and required me to download their new version. The new version slowed down my speed and it autoran each morning at 8 am which was a nuisance. I have since bought a new computer which came with norton. JBW

i've been using avg for years. never had a problem with it. it is ALWAYS updated & current! they do a great job in that dept.
also run a good spyware with it. i run microsoft antispyware and spybot search & destroy.
both of those are free as well.

just a quick post.
i read here about avast and when norton expired I installed it on my home machine.
Some things I noticed it is a system hog if you dont shut some processes down that you dont need like scanning every file you try to open. I dont mean the web or email stuff but the files you know are clean and you just need to open like your pics or media files.
that was it... I am gonna try the avg soon and report again.
So far Norton is still my favorite even tho I have to pay.
