I acquired a Cisco 2500 router and PIX firewall. I have never used these, but wanted to set them up in my home network to get familar with the Cisco product. Any cisco experts out there?

Mainly right now I want to install them on my home broadband network and get familar with the programming aspect. I do have the console cable. I will probably need to default them first. I don't have any of the old passwords or such.

Have you gotten past the passwords yet? If not I can help you with that. The Firewall requires a password lockout utility, need to know what version you have. also if it has a floppy or not.
the 2500 is fairly simple to get into.

Maybe I can call you this week when I get them set up and ready to program. Do you just use hyperterminal?
