And was looking at the Panasonic tough book. Does anyone have any pro's or conn's about them?
I currently use a Dell Latitude C 840.
Thanks,

Mike:
They had the military grade one on CNBC Squak Box one morning. I don't know how good they are at processing zeros and ones, but MAN I'd love to have the outer shell. I'm not sure my employees could have torn that thing up.

I smell what your cooking Trace.
I have had this C840 for proably 4 or 5 years and it has done and still does a good job. But during that time I have had to replace the screen 2 times, spilled water in the keyboard once, and dropped 4 million times.
The tough book looks like a good replacement,..but will it be as good at doing proccessing as the Dell?

If you program systems from a serial port, watch out. Many newer notebooks don't have serial ports.

I use the usb adaptor too. Works well as long as you remember to use the same com port each time.

I just got a new Dell D620. Comes with a serial port and I got the complete care warranty, so no worries if it gets broken.
