I use puTTY to telnet into Mitel 200 ICPs and it works great. The only drawback I have found is that I can't program macros which would be helpful as there are some very repetitive things I have to do during programming. I am not going to go out and spend money on an SSH program just to get this one feature. Has anyone figured out how to program macros in puTTY or found an adjunct program that will work with it to do the deed?
Thanks

Look into Tunnelier and Plink if you're using the SSH abilities of puTTY. An official "scripting" language for puTTY is reportedly only half-written at this point. If using the telnet aspect only, then consider using ProComm Plus. It has an increadibly powerful scripting language. Here is one killer of a bet. It's a free utility called AutoHotKey, which automates keyboard and mouse actions AND has been tested with puTTY.

If you take a little time and put the key sequence you need for your "Macro" into a text file, you can use copy/paste in putty.
You copy the key sequence from the txt file, then in putty you just hit the right mouse key and it will "paste" the key sequence in (just like you typed it).
The other solution is to get something that does macro's from the keyboard like AutoHotKey mentioned by dagwood or a keyboard with macro keys on it like a Logitech G11.

Thanks for the suggestions. PC Plus doesn't have a secure telnet (at least the version I have)otherwise that would be my first choice
