I want to download a clip from YouTube so I can edit it. Anybody know how to download a YouTube video clip?

I use Replay Media Catcher. Works with many utube type sites but not all.

https://vixy.net/ That site works really well and gives you several options on the format of the saved file. There are software options available but Vixy is pretty simple and as Youtube tries to thwart the downloaders Vixy makes changes on their end without you having to download any software patches or updates.

Try 1AVCapture. You can record YouTube videos to uncompressed AVI which are ideal for posterior editing. You will find 1AVCapture here: https://www.pcwinsoft.com/1avcapture/ Best, Alex

Thanks all for the links now that I have the video I don't seem to have any software that will let me edit it. I have a couple video editors but they both save the file in their own format. Now I need to find a way to edit an AVI file and keep it an AVI file when I save it.

Merrit, check for an "export" function. Also the "save as" might have options
Nero lets you export to various file formats
