Been using IE8 on XP pro for a few weeks now on my home PC. So far no problems here.

I have OmniPass installed on my laptop and any pages with password fields in IE8 do not work. I even updated to the latest version of OmniPass. Because I can't remember all the different passwords I use and I rely on OmniPass, I went back to IE7 for now.

From a mozilla support site (it doesn't work on FF either)->

After installing Omnipass 6, You need to open the registry by going to start/run and typing regedit. Then scroll down to hkey local machine/software/softex/omnipass and click on Omnipass and then look on the right side for the entry EnumAllClass Double click on that and change the value from 0 to 1 then close the registry and restart Omnipass by right clicking on the yellow Omnipass key and selecting Exit, then going to start/programs/softex and launching Omnipass control center. Sites that you had stored with Firefox or IE7 may or may not work with IE8 and you may have to re remember them.
Hope that helps!

I've installed it on the two Vista Ultimate personal laptops- I still use Google Chrome religiously. It has less clutter and is pretty quick.

Also deployed IE8 at the office, 10 XP desktops and two 2003 servers. It's nice, loads more quickly than previous versions. The only dislike I have is how much real estate it uses for address bars and the like. I've manually deselected toolbars to make it a little better- but each user has to do that themselves. It's not a "all users" option.

It's 12:14am so I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the info... I haven't tried that.

The problem I was having is not only would already stored passwords not work, but I couldn't get new pages to work. OmniPass didn't see the fields, even using the wizard didn't help.
