Who is using Firefox? Do you like it? Pros and Cons. I am looking at it, however what better place to get an honest opinion.

Thanks

Mike

Mike -

I use it on my PC and like it a lot. I find it very fast, very flexible and very reliable. I originally switched because of tabs - which IE didn't offer at that time. Now I've stayed because it always seems to be 2 steps ahead of IE. It also has a free add-on where it'll load a site in IE if the particular site won't deal with anything but MS.

On the Mac I usually run Safari but keep I Firefox around for when I want to stream XM radio (which has stopped working on Safari since I upgraded my OS).

I'd be more specific but I've been using FF for so long....

I've used it for years but after the latest "improvement" it's always crashing....even when it's minimized....

I went back to IE and still hate it so I'm stuck with FF until I try Chrome.

I really like Opera

https://www.opera.com/browser/

Used it before Firefox, and returned to it FF became a resource hog.

My FF occasionally closes but it is very apologetic when it dies. I have used it for years and am generally very satisfied with it. I only use IE for those few sites that require it. I have not used any other browsers. I am also careful to uncheck Safari with any Apple updates. They are so persistent.

Firefox is good no doubt. But.... It ain't quick no matter what. I like parts of it but hate other parts of it.
Either way it will work for you, and if you are an add-on freak then you will love it!

To sum it up, I have it on my Windows 7 machine but I really can't tell the difference. I'm not going to write it off since it is free source for the time being and it's included in UBUNTU and the likes.

I used to use it a few years ago, but am set on the following for now.

Mac OS
1. Safari
2. Opera

XP
1. IE

Vista
1. IE
2. FireFox

I haven't used Chrome yet, simply because my work laptop (the only machine I use a dedicated Windows OS on) has to use IE for our administration software. I have two friends that use Chrome on a regular basis and love it.

I use firefox as it seems to work with all the different stuff I do. IE is buggy and slow. Last time I tried chrome it had flaky ajax and flash rendering so I couldn't use it. I haven't tried the new versions of it yet.
