I guess I have been using Ghost so long I didn't even think there would be others. Lol. In my exp. most techs even refer to it as ghosting a drive (provided you are going disk to disk)

I've been using G4U to clone my system hard drive once a month for B/U. Managed to lay my hands on 3 'low miles' drives of the same make and model, so I have 3 months of B/u at all times. Well, I would if I was REALLY gung ho!

Disk to disk I use Ghost, it will even clone Win7 drives with no issues.

I use clonezilla a lot. Primarily for two reasons:

1) I can network boot it using PXE
2) I can image multiple computers at the same time

Thanks for your opinions. I have to replace 40 PC's at work in the next month. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna give Clonezilla a try.

I like Clonezilla and Acronis for small jobs but Ghost is the only one I've ever used to push lots of images out at once.

Sometimes it takes some doing to get it right, but when it works...

I made a bootable Clonezilla USB thumb drive. Works really well. The image restore to the new hardrive takes about 15 minutes. 12 down 28 to go...

If you were doing a win7 deployment, next time take a look in to the native "sysprep" offered by MS. There are some added advantages than just doing a clone.
