I posted this in the comdial forum, then noticed this forum. Here are the responses to that forum also. Can anyone give me other ideas, or do you concur with these responses?

I am setting up an autoattendant/VM on a clients DSU II system. No problems on calling it as a voice mail system, but I am trying to figure out how to get the VM system to answer for AA. The system has 1 thru 7 line CO's that I defined to go to DDC group 1. ext's 10, 11, 12, 13, and 26 are in that group (actual phones). I am trying to get the calls to hunt to the AA when the phones are busy or DND or no answer. The VM ports are 30 thru 33. I set the overflow for DDC 1 to be 30. I have set the VM ports to RNA busy in a chain 30 to 31, 31 to 32, 32 to 33, 33 to 30. In this arrangement 30 will take a call, but no more calls will be picked up the remaining VM ports.
I have also tried to place all the VM ports in the DDC group, but that distributes the calls to the VM ports when the other stations are idle.

If I set up delayed ringing on the VM ports for these CO lines (1-7) I get 4 VM ports trying to pick up a single call. I don't want to add more VM ports and have each CO line delay ring to its' own VM port.

Things that do work properly;

prompts for PW when subscriber calls from own ext.

call to busy RNA station with subscriber box gets proper subscriber Mailbox.

Also, this should be easy; I am trying to set buttons for the following features.

meet me page code 88
call pickup code #4

I did a pickup key once, and now it evades me how the heck I did it. I do have the manuels on CD for this KSU, and a manuel for the key voice SO.

As far as buttons for the codes use the speed dial feature. You can programm speed dials with the soft keys on an LCD phone or dial **1 while at intercom dial tone. Then press the button that you want for the feature and dial the code you want on the button. The voice mail should have ringing on the first port with the rest of the ports in a voice mail hunt link. I will double check that hunt link in the lab on a DSUII. We programm mostly DXP, DXP PLUS and FX products so I may be wrong on that last part.

Yes, the DSU II needs them in a hunt link (example= 16 to 17, 17 to 18, 18 to 16) You must also program call forwarding for both Ring No Answer and Call Forward Busy to the voice mail ports.
Added: I'm sorry I should have looked at your post a little closer. I have told you exactly what you already have set up, that's why it's only answering one line.
Sorry about that.

Tip and Ring is right on the money for multi line answering.

If you need the voice mail to answer multiple lines (either day, night or delayed)
there are some settings that need to be set in the key voice.
1. You must program this withe the remote admin software. (Keylink)

2. In the settings for lines, set the rings to answer for day, lunch and nite to 99

3. You must exit the voice mail program and go to DOS. Using the text editor open up VM.cfg and add the line RINGRESET = 4000
Save the file and exit the text editor.
Restart the Voice mail.

The reason that this has to be done is that the DSU's when the voice mail has to answer multiple lines. it will make all of the ports ring at once.
The above changes will make the system answer one of the ports and immediatly drop the others.

I will check out that vm.cfg file and see what it has in it. Not a nice way of operation, but I guess that is the only way. I would think that would busy the ports for a couple of seconds, or dump junk msgs on my questionaire mailboxes.
I have tried the **1 prior to posting, and I can hit an available key, but when I dial the #8 (call pickup) for the code it takes it, but when I test, it is a redial (code #) key instead. Is the code different when put on a key rather than dialing manually everytime you go to do a call pickup? I have seen this on other systems, and I am not sure if it is the same here.

Here is my procedure that I am using; that is not working for me.

press I/C
dial **1
press available feature key
dial #8
press spkr key

As far as I know, this is the procedure in the manuel. I have tried using the LCD keys way of setting this up (8012S and 8024S)using the ADIAL and it dials a 9 for me first then the stored code. I did not set the 9 but I guess it wants to get an available CO to do this on.

I have done the procedure for the VM.CFG, and the 99 rings in the VM line setup screen. IT WORKS!!

I am still having trouble for the feature codes though as described above and in my comdial post.
