Hello.
I just installed my first Aleen VME PRO voicemail.
I have setup a directory which will transfer a call to someone's extension however I have not figured out a way to make the directory transfer the call to a person's voicemail box instead of their extension.
The entire concept is that if someone calls after the business is closed for the day, you can still reach their voicemail.
Thanks.

are you trying to call vm box direct I believe you need to dial 4 for name directory, you may have issue with smdi/dtmf intergration, use the monitor feature to see what digits are coming thru.

Hi.
You have an Aleen Voice mail also?
I setup the directory so when the person dail 4, it will have the person dial the directory listings with the first 3 digits of the person's name.
Once the person is selected, its will transfer to call to that person.
Here is the Problem: The extension will ring like a normal call is coming to them but it will not send the call to the person's voicemail.
In other words, the directory seem to be setup to
1. Transfer to an Extension instead of 2. Transfering to a Voice mail box.
Does it work the same way on your Aleen?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

I'm not proficient on this Aleen voicemail but it seems to me that you need to either have the voicemail perform a supervised transfer or call forward each extension to voicemail with the correct vm id codes.
