Hello, I could not find this issue anywhere. Somewhere in our voicemail system, there are two times that are 3 hours apart. If I leave a message at 3pm, the System time shows 3PM, but the stamp on the voicemail shows 6PM. Additionally, if I go into the Administrator program and try to set scheduled greetings, they are off by 3 hours as well. I have mine set to start at 6PM, but it starts at 9PM. The quick and dirty solution would be just to set the system ahead by 3 hours, but I am sure there is an explaination that I have yet to find. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Mike

I do not know the amanda vmail. If this is a 2000 OS. Go to services and turn of the time service. See if this helps. ------------------ BIGDOG3c PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM

Thanks...I tried that and it didnt seem to make a difference, though my computer time is off by 3 hours now too. I tried to adjust this back to the correct time, but there is still a three hour difference somewhere in the Amanda system. While the Amanda System time currently shows 11am, the time stamp reads 2pm. Thanks for the help though... Mike

Go into the Amanda and change the time there. After doing that, new messages should read the correct time.

I am back again...still the same issue. I opened my Amanda Monitor and current time says 8:28 am. When I go to administrator and select time, to change to the correct time, the correct time is displayed in the box. It is currently 11:28. I am at a loss as to why this is happening, but all incoming voicemails get stamped with a time that is 3 hours earlier than they are actually left. If anyone has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

This is an excerpt from TAA website:
* If using a Windows based version of Amanda
The date and time can only be changed using the Monitor client. You can access the Monitor client from the desktop icon (if you have one) or by clicking start, programs, Amanda clients, Monitor. Once Monitor is running, click on the clock icon to update the date and time.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. No luck! If I change the time, it still ends up 3 hours off in the stamp. Just on a whim, I changed my machines timezone to pacific time (we are eastern), this seemed to work. The machine is no longer 3 hours behind. This leads me to believe there is some setting in the amanda setup routine for time zones which was not configured properly. I guess the quick and dirty fix will have to work for now...
Thanks again...
Mike
