I have a windows nt based keyvoice, version 11.0.14.1 that our customer is having problems with. It cuts off calls during recording. We have worked with tech support and no answer has been found. We are running disk keeper and have asked all of you for suggestions before. No go. Can we upgrade this version? If we do might this help with the problem? Where can I get the software, as we are no longer dealers for them? I did call them just now and they said the unit may crash if we upgrade. They pointed me to a dealer nearby, but I wanted to know if this sounds on the level or are they trying to sell me something. help

I've done 11.0 to 12.0 upgrades with no problems. BUT you must upgrade to 11.1 first then 12.0. The key dongle has to be upgraded to support rls. 12.

The Interchange is not exactly the easiest thing to get going again. I don't know what would be worse, calling the other dealer to help you now or calling him to help you after the thing quits completely when you try to upgrade it or reload software.

you should be able to upgrade to at least 11.1. run ntrenew and see what your key allows you to go up to.

I know there is a cut off issue in 10.3 and there is a patch out for it. I dont remember anything in 11.0. I will check my notes.

Is this rhetorex or dialogic?

The only thing I can remember as being a real issue with 11.x is a problem with Rhetorex drivers going to "sleep". Actually this came up in a couple different variances. This doesn't sound like what you're experiencing though. Isn't the highest 11.x version 11.1.17.3 (off the top of my head), or am I thinking of something else? I think to get there from 11.0 is just a matter of loading a "patch" (software "enhancement"). smile

11.1 is a complete upgrade from 11.0. There is a run of 11.1 CDs for upgrade issues. 11.1 does not require a key upgrade from 11.0. That's why you have to go to 11.1 from 11.0 when going to 12.0.

5 Years & Counting,
Was there a fix for the "going to sleep" problem with the Rhetorex boards on the Interchange. I maintain a system and it loses the ports every now and then and we have to go in and remove the boards and add them back to get them working again.

Set the system up to do a reboot at midnight or during off hours every week should take care of your issue.

Yes, it was Rhetorex IVPC. But they would just stop answering. A reboot would correct the problem in one case. In another case, if they were analog Rhetorex (not IVPC), you needed to get the FXII (of that's what it's behind) up to a certain software rev, and make sure the IST boards (FXISTM-Cxx, if that's what VM is connected to) were up to a certain firmware.
