I have a Repartee 7.46 that the key seems to have given up on. This system is for our church so any $$ is on me. The key is SN:41241 dated 12/28/98. It is a CMC SBS 4 port FL1 OAI. The thing was working fine, but on a reboot of the system after changing some paramaters, the VM loading stopped and said it couldn't find the key. Parallel port on the MB checks out OK. The error message says the key is too old for the system (?????) and has to be upgraded. Tried it on a 7.44 system running here, same message. A keydump is unsuccessful, just returns "Green Key"

So, I suspect that I'm looking for a replacement key or advice on attempting to upgrade the old one, just don't want to spend $$ on an upgrade if the key went belly up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What Parameters did you change ? What you changed may have exceeded the DONGLE/KEY License . At what point in bootup does this error message appear on the screen ?

I changed the Integration from a Comdial 2000 back to default. Did a reboot and the load stops at right after the patent notices with the message "System key error! The attached system key is an old format that will require a replacement. Please call Technical Support to obtain a new, field programable system key."

The system will boot (and operate) in demo mode without the key attached. Changing the integration back didn't help either.

I'm not a dealer so if the key is toast will have to purchase one from someone who is. Looks like I might be in the market for one.
