does any one know of a system that i can monitor the message waiting lamp of one mailbox at several(maybe 10) telephones.

Well, any system that has an active voice voicemail. NEC Aspire allows MWI on the keys.

ESI IVX can with Virtual Mailbox keys. But that's a whole phone system, not just a voicemail system.

We came across a customer that was doing that with an NEC system. I believe it was the key system though not the Aspire. I don't know NEC well but I remember being surprised that the system could this.

NEC DS and the Vodavi STS both do it too
On the DS it is called a message center key
on the STS it is voice mailbox key, programming code 460

On the NEC IPK if you are extension 101 and a button on you phone is assign for extension 102 that button of course will go solid red when 102 is on the phone. When someone leaves a voice mail message for 102 and elite mail turns on the lamp the button on extension 101 for X102 will start flashing.
