I already posted once to the Avaya forum but I was advised that I should try here as well.

My other post is here:
https://www.sundance-communications.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?/ubb/get_topic/f/5/t/002759.html

As it is the message light doesn’t come on when one of the phones has a message. Its happening to only one person and the phone before had the light working. It mysteriously stopped working a day ago however.

I’ve tested the light itself and know that it works. So I'm wondering if anyone here would know why the voicemail isn’t giving notification by way of message light anymore.

Would resetting the voicemail work? or should I do as they said and reset the partner system even though its not happening to any other phones but that one?

Thanks in advance!

Verify that the system extension in question is actually the extension number you think it is. That being cleared, check the voicemail system to see if perhaps the message waiting light has been defeated in Vmail programming. It's possible that the user has unknowingly selected a user option to turn off message waiting notification.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

The extension is the right one for that phone and that person. Like I said the light was working days prior to this and then out of no where stopped working, and nothing was done to the phone that day to prompt such from what I know.

How do you check in an Amanda system to see if there is an option to turn that off? She said that she didn’t select anything different from the voicemail then what she always has (has been here about a year). And no one else has ever heard a prompt for turning it off.

Would resetting the voicemail box help at all? Clear out anything that could have been done maybe?

Thanks again.

Again,.......I would have to advise you to call the company that sold you the system.

It could save you a lot of time and headache.

I agree several suggestions have been made that might solve the problem but you seem unable or unwilling to try them

call in a pro and get it done right if your not happy with the orgianl vendor click on the installer link at the top off the page and call someone in your area

I'm far from unwilling to try them. More wondering why its all the sudden doing it. Resetting it was actually done as suggested and it didnt work. Resetting the system as a whole is more difficult as we have a bunch of people and everyone is always using the phone. However none the less I will be calling the company to attempt to figure out why as now its doing it to all phones.

Thanks for the help!
