Vertical DX-120 Flash DX 8.5
Can someone provide me with an easy 1-2-3 setup for vacation messages... or a general "How it works"? The tech manuals are horrible for this!
If you record a box 800 message #1 (as opposed to the default #0) and set the vacation date, will it automatically switch to that message on that date, or do you have to somewhere define which message to play when? Do you have to log into the mailbox to define which message to switch to, etc. etc.??
Thanks

Patrick

There really isn't anything defined as "Vacation" in that voicemail.

The Holiday schedule requires you to use a different box, unless the box you point it to is the same as your day/night box, and you're manually going to change the greeting number from zero to one or other on that box, and then change it back after the holiday. The table is designed for you to do the former (use a different box), so it's automatic once properly setup.

Ok, that seems to work well... so I can create vacation messages all the way from box 802-820?

Also, is this the proper way to set voicemail to stay in DAY time mode all the time: set the business hours to 00:00-23:59?

Thanks

You can use any valid box number, but the box has to exist, and has to be setup to work properly.

You can either set hours as mentioned, or you can go into Line Information and change all 3 schedules to use the same box. Then it won't matter what time it is, or what mode the voicemail is in.
