Comdial DX-80 with 4 port flash VM.

I went into programming(customer has access to KeyLink)and saw in the Disconnect Digit Sequence window--that it was empty. I never have fooled with that--then checked my system at the shop and I see 4 stars in there.

I'm thinking that this must have some sort of effect on the system operation---but, maybe not.

The old Corporate Office manual states what it does--but goes into no detail as to how to change it. In figure 5-6, it show the Tech Info page and show that the D.S. window also has nothing in it.

Would this even have to have a disconnect sequence in it for the DX-80?? Just wondering.....

My test DX80 with 11b voice mail has the disconnect digit field blank also. Works great without it.

On the original they had the stars in there. On later models they took them out. I'm not sure why. If you go look in VM integration in the DX80 programming, it's in there. Perhaps the disconnect sequence is assumed, based on the DX80 integration, as defined in the VM.CFG file. If I remember correctly, when they came out with the corrections to integration, when they had you remove the Custom field that was supposed to pertain to DX80 integration, they also had you remove the disconnect sequence from VM programming. I could be wrong on that, but I seem to remember that being one of the items in that bulletin.

After the switch to the "newer" dx80 board (the one with the fan on it and VMII), disconnect detection is no longer inband.
