I've never worked on one of these so...my question is this, When the customer has someone go to voice mail, they leave their message, then hang up, the voice mail keeps recording. How do we correct that?? The phone company is sending disconnect so...HELP!!

oh man, i hate working on these...
what kind of phone system is it connected to? have you checked the disconnect digits in the VM integration?

There's an option in the setup to make it learn call progress tones. I believe that running that should set you right.
