Have a customer with an Octel 50 voicemail that is having a rather odd issue. The customer will have a visual notification that they have a message, MW light. They will start to listen to a message and then the system will say something to the affect " line problem" and disconnects them. When they go back in to listen to their messages they are not there so they are losing them.
I ran scandisk and defrag on the computer and had no issue with a bad sector or anything. I also ran Qassist in the Octel program for Utilites, had some warnings, and ran a second time and they went away. This has been normal procedure in the past. The VM is 16 ports and it is happening on different ports not on the same card nor on the same COV card in the Mitel. I checked the Mitel and there are no alarms or issues I can see.
I have only had about 6 customers with an Octel 50, but have been working with them for a number of years, and I have never come across this issue, where the voicemail actually "verbally" tells the customer there is an issue with the line. I'm stumped, can anyone help?

Run Qassist. Check update all and delete unattached messages. The default qassist setting don't do much. I have seen this before, and the update all, has always fixed it. Of course old saved mesaage will come back as new for the users. Small price to pay IMHO.
