Hi guys, this is my first post but I've been hanging out on these forums for a few months. I've got an interesting problem that I can't seem to find a solution to. I'm hopeful that someone here has encountered the same thing or can offer some assistance.

First a little information about our configuration. We have 18 remote offices and one corporate office in our company and each office has either a Toshiba CTX100 or a CTX670 on VoIP. The only system that has a voicemail card in it is the corporate one. The card is a Stratagy iES32. Each remote office has one voicemail box, which is coming from the corporate system.

Now, the actual issue at hand...Suppose Bob at extension 213 in Sacramento calls Mike at extension 204 in Los Angeles and the call goes to voice mail. When Mike checks his voicemail, Stratagy will tell him that the call came from Joe, who is at extension 204 in Los Angeles (the same phone system that Joe is using). However, the voicemail message itself will be from Bob.

Each phone system has its own 3 digit remote node ID and all of the configuration settings for each one is the same as the next.

If I have been too vague or confusing in any way, please let me know and I'll try to clarify.

Thank you so much for any consideration given to this.

Sincerely,

Eric

When Mike checks his voicemail, does the phone display read that it's from Joe or does Stratagy play back Joe's spoken name before playing back the message?

It will display Joe's extension and say Joe's name simultaneously. I just tested that because wasn't sure.

Must make a correction to the text in parenthesis in my original post: (the same phone system that Joe is using) should be (the same phone system that Mike is using).

Does this happen if Bob calls any other station and leaves a message?

This happens when anyone from a remote office who has an extension number that also exists on the corporate switch calls corporate and leaves a message. It doesn't make a difference which remote office is calling and happens with multiple extensions. I can only assume that it will happen with all, but we've got 200 phones in corporate so I can't test all of them.

My guess is there's something amiss with the SMDI. I would suggest having a dealer come out and do some troubleshooting. There are log files that can help the tech and, if need be, Toshiba tech support.

Actually, you're not too far off. I'm the telecom guy where I work, and we ended up calling our vendor out. They couldn't figure it out either and called Toshiba. It took about 3 hours for them to figure it out. I appreciate your efforts very much. Thank you!!
