Key Voice Technoligies Version 8.2

Yesterday had power failure. Upon Re-boot of Key Voice the system does a check of all voice mail boxes. My System is stuck and un responsive at box 303.

Box 303 is an active box.

I have a hotel and normally when a box becomes un responsive or we need to re-set a box we do that from the master telephone consoul at the front desk.

Because the system is un-responsive and 'hung' I am left not knowing what to do. I have re-booted the system several times always it gets stuck on this same box and becomes unresponsive.

Any help would be greatly appreciaed and I would be willing to pay for assistance if anyone has knowledge of this system. I have original Installation and Maintenance manual.

You need to run a scan disk from dos and do a check of your harddrive. If you have any errors or bad sectors recovered or not you need to replace the drive and rebuild or send the whole unit in for repair.

You most likely have a corrupt mailbox. You can remove this mailbox under DOS so it doesnt see it when it runs its scan. Do you have someone who normally services the unit? It would be wise to hire someone local who is familar with KeyVoice to make the repairs.

Update. Did re-install with Keyvoice V 8.5. I am running this with a Mitel SX 200 Superswitch.

I was able to copy over most recordings and settings and am almost 95% up and good.

Remaining problems are that when vm records a message the message waiting lamp will not come on in guestrooms or on supersets in admin.

Copied over from origianal settings are:
Sequence to turn lamp on: \K7,4,,9994,,\K3\K0
Sequence to turn lamp off: \K7,4,,9994,,\K4\K0

When calling vm box Keyvoice records message fine, in line status display it shows the recording activiting and then a second later it shows vm trying to call from 9996 to message waiting but the lamp never goes on???

Is there anyone out there who can assist? I have a modum in this unit for remote tech support.

I am avail by phone 509 548 5269, am willing to pay for remote support
