Hello All, I am a noob looking for assistance.
We have a Keyvoice Small Office VM and Comdial system and Recently had to have the VM box repaired. (new HDD) I now have the system back and running except for one problem.
The Softkeys (buttons on comdial impact phone set) used to allow the user to "SAVE" or "DEL" a message while they were listening to it. This button no longer work. The Message Waiting indicator does work and also notifies them how many messages are waiting. I am new to VM and phone systems so please be gentle with me.
Any help pointing me in the right direction would help.

Gary

Did you do a first time setup when the mail was rebuilt? Unless you cloned the old drive it is not setup for serial integration or the serial cable is not hooked up correctly.

Yes, the setup was complete. And yes at first the Com/serial port was not plugged in right. Once I got it plugged in right the Msg waiting light started working and the number of msgs waiting was displaying on the Comdial-impact LCD but the buttons/softkey(?) still do not work.

Thanks for you reply.

Ring each voicemail port and make sure the first programmed voicemail port answers with port 1...2nd port rings port 2 etc.
