I'm trying to resurrect an older OS2 Repartee system, using a 4 Port Mitel COV integration. I have 4 different 'tested' Dialogic D42SX boards, and I know the system key is working properly. If I start the system without a Dialogic board installed, I get all the way to the log-in screen, and I can do all of my system programing, including the "Easy Made Switch Set up". When I install a Dialogic board, and power the unit back up, it goes almost all the way through the boot process, but stops just short of giving me the log in screen. I get the "Dialogic Board Succesfully Installed", and the "VOXB0 Starting" prompts. The last thing on the screen says "Using Speed Control Slow Down Range" -1...-3. That's where is stops. Any suggestions???

Couple things but probably the biggest is an IRQ conflict of some kind or not the correct IRQ is on the board vs the installed software. Check that first.
Did you reinstall all the software or is this just an existing system you are trying to get the dialogic boards to work?

Yep...what Coral Tech said...did you check the dip switch settings on the the dialogic board before you installed it..? I would look there..sounds like a IRQ conflict to me also...

If I'm not mistaken, that's the point where the dialogic board is downloading its driver info. You might need to reload the Dialogic driver on the hard drive.
I would try renaming the dialogic driver and then copy it from a working system, as a test.

Coral; I deleted the E drive entirely, and did a new install of 7.48, but get the same results. bob: I triple checked the D42sx board settings, and they're all set according to the install manual. During the install process, it shows the Voice board as being assigned IRQ2. guy: I tried all of the same steps on an operating system, and everything seems to work just fine. I'm going to have to assume I've got a bad motherboard?!?!?!

Yup, COV. I've got 3 or 4 of them, with different features, but I get all the same results.

If it is an interrupt issue, remember that 2 and 9 are the same

Fred, it's also possible that you have one bad ISA port on that Motherboard. You might want to move the cards to another ISA port.
I'm assuming that this is old enough to be ISA Dialogic cards, since it's OS/2. If it's PCI, you might be seeing an old "feature" called PCI Bus-mastering which tended to play hell with what card could be in what slot. In that case, swapping the slots is still the answer.

Hi, I had the same problem with you, so I did a reinstall and changed the detected irq from 2 to 4, this worked like a charm...
