Hi,
I'm in the process of ordering a new PRI T1 circuit from MCI to replace an old one.
The line protocol in the Telrad PBX is defined as DMS100.
MCI requested to select one of the protocols for the line out of the following three:
ATT, NI2 or NTP?

Which protocol should go along with DMS100?

Thank you

I would post this question in the Telrad forum since each manufactorer has specific setings for there product. I would guess at NI2 based on other systems that I am familiar with. But it is only a guess.

You had a PRI on a DMS500? I didnt think a DMS switch would do PRI. Thought it had to be a 5ESS. But maybe thats just with the LEC here in FL. After Rel7 we set our PRI's to NI2 National before rel 7 5ESS Custom.

You can have PRI ISDN in a DMS100/200 office if they have SPM frames. We have had them in my office for four years now. Don't ask me what code I only wire them out of the office to the outside world.

MCI is a rip off.

If you are in Florida go with FDN.

If you are not in Florida you can get a better deal with XO.

Yes, you can get a PRI from a DMS. Most of our customers that have them are set up with NI2 protocol.

How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?
