PRI .v. BRI -- The latter just has fewer B-channels than the other-- both are digital and use ISDN signalling protcols.
For those interested, to help give an idea of scale as you grow into a PRI-- a single PRI will support about 75,000 calls per month. Normal business hours, average call length about 3mins. It's just the way it normally works out.
On another note-- if you have a PRI, you need to be contacting your carrier to get a blocking report every month. You want to know how many calls come in, that you didn't have enough lines to support. Could be you're missing out on business and you don't even know it.
