We're moving an Allworx 24X on Friday. It now has a 3 meg dynamic data circuit with PRI, DIDs, and has been working fine for almost two years.
When we move it, the circuit will be different ---the corporate IT guy is providing "ISDN/PRI/DIDs" coming from an Adtran 6310 about 350 ft away. He is using a 75 pr aerial cable and supposidly terminating it at the new location.
Today, he asked my tech "What is the pin-out for the Allworx's RJ45" I got cold chills.
I gave him all of the programming set-up of the Allworx about two weeks ago and said---"All we want to do is plug things in, and pre-program the new DIDs and the new static IP address and be gone". We want the PRI to be provisioned exactly like the old one.
Am I starting to worry too much at this time?? I just read an e-mail from him saying that his "Adtran support" is not returning any phone calls nor e-mails. Hmmmm....... Any advice??
My tech is meeting him on site tomorrow.

I just read an e-mail from him saying that his "Adtran support" is not returning any phone calls nor e-mails. Hmmmm....... Yeah, hmmmm! Adtran is known to have some of the best tech support going. Any advice?? T&M! ... and don't schedule your tech for anything else that day or the next. :bang: Wanting the PRI provisioned exactly like the existing one at the old location is a good thing to hear from your customer contact, but that’s going to be wholly on the SIP provider. If they are changing providers between locations, I’d be just as worried about THAT too.

Bryan--thanks for the reply.
The T-1/PRI/DID circuit is going to be coming from the Adtran 6310. The IT guy is taking whatever circuit or circuits that he has there and sending it to us and terminating it on a jack at our MDF. The internet access is coming from ComCast (dedicated).
The provider for the voice circuits at the IT guys place is Verizon, and I'm guessing that they have somje bonded T-1s over there. They have about 50/60 users over there, so I'm guessing that they have more than a T-1 for voice. I hope---because the company that I am moving will has 15 or so users---and I think that woulod be a bit much for just 1 T-1.....maybe not.

A quick update. Here's a quote from an e-mail that I just got from the guy who is supposed to be providing us with the voice circuit:
"Okay. After spending all day again trying to work with Adtran ACES support, I was finally able to reach a Adtran Application engineer. To cut to the chase, this engineer told me that the 6310 will not do what the pre-sales engineer told me it would do. Working out alternative. "
Hmmm...I don't think the move will be taking place this Friday afterall.

Update II;
Here is the "Consultant's" latest e-mail----
"Good morning all, Well this has been one heck of a firedrill. I spoke with XXXX about 4:45pm yesterday and let him know the status. Bottom line is ADTRAN send us and told us to order the wrong equipment for the application. Long story short, ADTRAN is shipping the correct equipment overnight to be delivered to XXXX tomorrow (FRIDAY) morning by 10am. I will be on-site tomorrow by 9:30am . I have an ADTRAN engineer lined up to help me program the devise tomorrow at 11am. ( I also have his cell phone, so he can’t get away). This put a little more pressure on the move-in process for tomorrow, needless to say, but it is the best that can be done at this point. I have been in contact with Dave from Donovan as well to let him know that status (spoke with him this morning).
Thank-you for your flexibility in this process. I am sorry it has been such a bumpy road.
I will see you all tomorrow morning."

The new equipment is an Adtran Atlas 550. Our tech will de-install everything at 7:30am. We'll see what happens from there. I have pre-programed the new DID blocks into the Allworx. This should be good.

Final Update:
Adtran "Next-Day-Aired" an Atlas 550 to the consultant. At 11:00 we were all ready to go except the Adtran. It took about 3-4 hours for the installation & programming of the Adtran. At about 2:20 we were finally up and going.
Poor punchdowns by the consultant took about 20 minutes to figure out. Overall, it went pretty smooth. I programmed the DID blocks, and DID extension routing--so that when the PRI was up---everything was working.
