Hello.

I was wondering if it was possible to connect a switch or hub to your network wirelessly?

Lets say there is a room that is physically impossible to run CAT 5 cable however the wireless network signal is strong.

This room has 5 Ethernet enabled devices with no wifi.

1. ReplayTV DVR #1
2. ReplayTV DVR #2
3. Xbox 360
4. Playstation 3
5. Print server(wired Ethernet)

Is there such a thing as a wireless switch/hub device or can you buy a regular switch or hub and connect it to a wireless bridge device to basically give its Ethernet CAT 5 cable input which is than connected to the wireless network?

The switch would than split that bridged wireless connection to lets say 5 Ethernet enabled devices?

Please let me know if something like this is possible or if there is another solution that is normally used. Please know that running a physical cable is not an option.

Thanks

I think the question was if you would have to buy a linksys WET54g X 5( one for each device)

or

If it was possible to buy 1 single WET54g and connect it to a 8 port switch and have all 8 wired ethernet devices wired into the switch which is than connected to the rest of the network through the WET54g device?

With the D-Link I mentioned in the other thread, you could use the one AP connected to a switch. I don't see why this wouldn't work with the Linksys as well.
