I'm working on a bid for a site in which I will need to set up various outdoor access points for wireless VoIP handsets.
It's been a few years since I've dealt with any large scale wireless (I used to install equipment for IBAHN/STSN into hotels and I left right before the wireless VOIP phones came out)
We used to set up AP's as CH 1, CH 6 CH 11. Spacing them out evenly for maximum penetration and less chance of channel interference.
Now the users of these handsets will be mobile, possibly switching from one "cell" to another as they walk around the site.
With the newest Access Points and VoIP handsets do they support a "cell hand-off" type feature? I'm pretty sure I've seen some equipment claim this, however models and brands slip my mind
