Does anyone know what ABAN is? The acronym I believe stands for Agent Based Active Network.

I was asked to install an Ethernet Over Copper circuit, and firs they said they needed (1) cable with all 4 pairs. Then they changed it to (2) cables using 2 pairs each on (4) RJ-48 jacks, then (3) RJ-48 jacks. I get the impression someone is confused!
Now they say "The IW should be total of 3 pair extended (2 wire twisted pairs ABAN or House cable.)"

Does anyone know ?

I would never accept a job with those specs... tell them you need to know exactly what they require.... and get it in writing.

ABAN is a shielded riser-rated cable, 22 AWG. It is very similar to OSP cable, except that it has a dark gray PVC jacket. This type of cable is typically only used in central offices or riser shafts.

That's a good point about getting it in writing. So far, I have everything documented in emails, but it's simple enough to draw up a simple contract this last time. Thanks
