I manage a medical office. We are looking for a new phone system. I have 2 quotes. One for a NEC system and one for a Samsung system. I need some advice on which one to choose if anyone has an opinion either way. We need 8 phones with at least 4 lines.

The systems I am looking at are: NEC UX5000 versus Samsung OfficeServ 7100

THANK YOU!

Phone system are only as good as the installer. Otherwise phone systems typically serve the same purpose.

Some handle specific features better than others, but if the person who installs it is sloppy and doesn't grasp the programming it will be a nightmare.

Find out what your top five major 'have to have' features you are looking for are in a system, and see which fits YOUR needs.

Pretty much what ttech said. Make sure to have them teach you how to do simple name changes etc and how to use your system and how easy or hard that will be. Compare warranty's etc. For small applications, save some specialized email integrations, they all pretty much do the same things. If you decide to do all VOIP make SURE your IT staff can do this (and your network also is up to snuff) otherwise stick to digital phones.
