Program a speed dial button as follows.

1. press itcm & dial **1
2. Press the button you wish to program
3. Dial the vm ext. number
4. Press hold
5. Dial 8 + your extension number

THEN

In the vm.cfg file add the following line at the top.

8XXX=XXX*,#,%,9

(This is assuming you have three digit extension numbers. If more or less adjust the number of X's.)

If you have done this CORRECTLY then...

You should hear "Please enter you password" when you press your "VM logon" (speed dial button) and new messages should beging play immeadiately. any you will be very happy.

We have a Comdial DPX system with Comdial Impact phones. We dial 330# to access the Voice Mail system. Is there a way to program a DSS button, or any button for that matter, that will at least dial the 330#. Is there also any way to program a button with your station number and/or password to access your individual voice mail box? TIA for any ideas.

Why not try programming with VMMI software? Just program a button with XVM01. That should do it.

We have a DXP with Impact 8024S phones working with an 8 port Corporate office voice mail and we turned on the Visual Voice Mail Feature in the DXP. By turning on the
Visual Voice mail, one of the interacte buttons on the Impact phone then becomes a VMail button.

This might be way off base if you are using a different version of Impact phones and then again, you might have a different software level in the DXP.

IF YOU HAVE A MODEM ON THE SYSTEM I CAN FIX THIS FOR YOU IN 2 MIN.
