I have installes an ATID on a 0816 and all programming. When I ring the extension the voice mail will not answer. I put a regular telephone in the port and it rings and I can answer. The voltage is around 60 on ringing. I put a dial tone line on the voice mail and call the number the voice mail answers. Does the ATID require a ringing generator? Is there an adjustment?

I believe you need Thru Dial activated on the voicemail ports. I hope this helps.

If I am not mistaken, you need to set up ringing line preference for the ATID extensions, prime line preference and idle line preference for the two ATID extensions. That should fix your problem.

VERIFY YOU VMAIL CARD. PLUG A C.O. LINE INTO IT AND DIAL THE NUMBER. IF IT DOESN'T ANSWER, THEN THERE'S YOUR ANSWER! IF IT DOES, DEFAULT YOUR VOICEMAIL PORTS AND SIMPLY REPROGRAM TEM AS VOICEMAIL PORTS, PROGRAM THEIR RINGING AND HUNT LINK THEM. EVERYTHING ELSE (THRI DIAL ect...) IS AUTOMATICALLY SET UP ON A VM PORT.
