We have taken over a Comdial Impact 2448 with a KeyVoice 4 port VM. It has serial integration...the Port A is hooked up to a serial port of the VM. My question.----
how do I go about programming with a laptop or remotely without unhooking the VM from the Data Port A?? We unhooked it just for about 10 minutes and msg waiting lights seemed to come on and other lights seemed to blink on & off. When we plugged it back in...things quieted down. Any advice?? Thanks in advance.

I believe you can use the B-port. Just gain access by using Hyper-terminal or PC plus. Just be aware that the default connection is set up as 7, 2 and 300 baud. If you cannot gain access through B-port, you will have to go in through A to see what the settings are for B. Or you can change them while you are dialed into A.

Good Luck
