I am working on an Executech 2296, Rev J, SW16. I am trying to connect an analog voice mail system to provide basic voice mail boxes, night auto attendant for transfer direct to mail box.
Does anyone have experience on the 2296? Experience adding voice mail "besides" the Execumail?
I am able to successfully connect and dial the voice mail ext's. The issue I am having is that when I reach the voice mail, the comdial is not sending the dtmf. The voice mail is hearing it, because I can put direct dial tone on it and dtmf is recognized. I talked to a technician that told me to program "through dialing" on the voice mail ports. This did not help.
One supplier told me I would need to have an opxi to make this connection. Another supplier told me I would need a vmix. I have tried both converters. Neither gets the dtmf to the voicemail.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have it in Hybrid mode? To check, you would have a strap from terminal 27 to 28 on block J4
