I have an Executech phone and would like to know how to transfer an incoming call (from the receptionist phone) to another incoming line. I have a button that says "Trans/Conf" but everything I have tried with it has not worked. This is for when people send faxes to our first line, I would like to send them to the fax machine.

You guys are GREAT. I can't tell you how relieved I am to have found this website. Hope you can help again.

First of all do you have that centrex feature on your lines? Then you must set up the flash time to match what your local provider is sending (usually .6 works in most cases)
If you have all the above then you just press the flash button and dial the fax number and when it rings or answers hang up.

I am not sure what a Centrex Feature is. I have four buttons to choose from, TAP, TRANS/CONF, MUTE and SPKR.

Your flash hook is the TAP button.
Centrex is features that your local provider that you get your dial tone from can put on your lines, if you don't have call forwarding on the lines then the TAP will only hang up on the call that you are on and give you dial tone again to dial out.

Getting the centrex feature on your lines is known by SBC as "feature link" There is a additional monthly charge on your phone bill to add this feature to your lines. Contact your service provider, if SBC, call customer service. If SBC is not your service provider they will tell you when you call them.

Good Luck!
