Customer asked me to look into 1yr old concierge crashing. We are NOT a Comdial dealer. Local dealer dryed up and when away.
Unit is currently on a Windows 95 platform, seems to be an old operating system for 1yr old machine!
Any input from a Comdial guy ?

The software was written during the Win 95/98 era and it is pretty stable.
What keeps crashing?
There are certin windows that have to be loaded and kept minimized. (SMDR,PMS,VMail)
Are there new front desk personnel?
We had one at a motel where the front desk people kept playing with the pc and turning stuff on/off.
Also what verision of Concierge are you running? I think 4.2 was the latest.

I don't have the rev number, will go on site and get it.
The "crash" is a windows error banner
"the program has performed an illegal function" or just a black screen.
This is all as per the end user, I have never seen it down.
In general is this a stablle product ?
I will get more detailed info.

The concierge software is pretty stable. at least version 4 is anyway. When the pc locks up, can you tell if any of the minimized programs have quit running? Does this property have a PMS interface? The concierge pc is used basically to interface with a PMS system and capture SMDR data. It also allows them to manually check in/check out guests and run some simple reports.
