Hello. This seems like a fairly simple task but I cannot get the voice mail to pick up after 5 rings. I have went into programming via Keylink and changed the settings in this particular voicemail box. The setting I changed was the one that says "pick up after".. and i set it on 5. I exit ,call in, and it still goes to voicemail after 3 rings. Any input is appriciated(sp). Thanks

In what menu do you see 'pick up after'. In the mailbox settings there is a 'rings to answer' setting. Set that to 5 and make sure that the 'currently enabled' field is set to yes. Let me how you make out.

This is going to be a setting in the DX80.

There are two settings:

1. Pre-Defined Call Forward No Answer Timer.

If a CO Line call is manually transfered to a station or if the Voice Mail is setup as an auto attendant and does a blind transfer ( And I think Comdial only recomends blind transfers in the DX 80) the default setting is 3 rings.

2. Predetermined call forward time

This setting is for internal call forwarding no answer station to station.

The blind transfer is the only option for the old 7243 harddrive VM, but with the new flash and hard drive VM's you can utilize all the call tansfer types. What settings should be used for the pre-determined and pre-defined call fwd settingsI might be wrong, but isn't the rings to answer 4 by default?
