you can upgrade your VMMI software on your computer. It is backwards compatable. I would stick with 13a or just go up to 15c not to the latest(17d).
The DXP is a different story. You need software chips to upgrade and also you may need to up grade cpu and ram module. depending on what you have and what version your going to.

thx for the info. will stick with what they have. But if they want to upgrade to 15c then would they require a cpu board upgrade or just an eeprom upgrade.

BIGDOG3c is right on the money! Because of the hotel operation it is best not to go past 15c. Most of the hotels that had rev. 13 software had 13W and not 13a or b. If you have two extentions per room then 13w or 15c is your best choice.

Yes, I do have to extension in each room. But I currently have version 13b. Is there a site or place where I can find out the upgrade info between the two version. Whether it is worth the effort to upgrade to 13c.

The big difference for the concierge aplication is in ring monitoring which will ring the second extention if the first is busy. This was available for the first time in 13w (rare special release) and skipped rev 14 and was in all revs of 15. If you have a DXP plus I can make you a copy of 15c if you give me the serial number of the CPU.

The software is planted on the daughter board on the cpu, to the best of my knowledge you replace the software (daughter board) with the version you want. To erase and upgrade the chips would not be a profitable endevor for an interconnect company, if something went wrong we would have to buy you new software. I doubt the software you want would be very expensive. Maybe Mr. Big has better information then I, he's pretty sharp. mark
