I have a cabinet that sounds like the power supply is sputtering. Sounds like it is running out of gas. Anyone heard this?

If its a DXP its pretty much standard for those power supplies to hiss.
They use a switching power supply technology that converts the 120V input up to a high frequency switching pulse that causes the windings in some of the feedback transformers to hiss.
