First we need to know what 308 you have , Executech , No308, as they do program different. You can find a white sticker on the side of the KSU that will have that info. Also the manuals for both can be found by clicking the Manuals button at the top of the page.

You can also tell us what color the KSU is, tan or black.

I think if you have 6706 phones -they have a switch on the underside of the phone--that can be turned off & on. Sometimes the phone is programmed to ring, but the switch is turned off.

yes and the switch isn't marked low, med, high, so put it in the middle to test, if it is programmed to ring it will ring there. But I think he may have the older executech, not the XE system which uses the 67xx phones. In that case (older)the switch is on the back near the line cord.

I have a ComDial ExecuTech 6706. On the underside, there is a button that can be switch to either side and in the middle.

Recently the wire shorted out the line and they had to put the line on another extension. Before it was programmed to ring and pick up the line that is ringing. Since the technician put on another line, does the line have to be programmed to ring, or is there some way I can program the phone to ring?

You will have to make sure that the station is programmed to ring otherwise the ringer switch on the phone doesn't do anything. Why didn't the tech go through the programming if he moved the line to a new port?

The manual I have does not tell me how to program the phone to ring or not to ring. Is it something I can do by pressing a series of buttons or is it something that a technician has to do? If it is something I can do, can you tell me what the series of buttons I have to enter to make it ring?

Thanks for your help; it is very much appreciated!

What system are we talking about? All you have given us is the phone type.
