Any DX80's you have with the letter N as the letter code in the serial number, is likely to have a problem where the audio on the phones goes dead during a call for 6 to 10 seconds and then comes back. This is an intermittant trouble that many people ignore. Comdial will repair the cabinet if you call for an RMA #. I also learned that there has been some trouble with the battery that holds up the programming during a loss of power. If you lose some, or all of the programmed database after a power failure or reboot, replace the battery. The number is CR2032. There is no letter or date code associated with the battery issue, could be any of them. mark

That is true Mark. After further troubleshooting we found it was the CPM portion of the KSU so don't be alarmed if you just get sent a replacement CPM. It has worked for us.

Another stroke of genius at Cometdial with the QA issues on the DX-80.
I am glad I dropped them!!!

Relax it's not that bad. I have over a hundred of these systems in place and only one has had the audio problem (my office) and two have had the battery problem. It's too early to panic. mark
