I have been put in charge of our Phone system it is a Comdial DSU II phone system. I don't know much about this system well any phone system. The problem is We have a receptionist that is going to be leaving to another building and they want to have the operator "Dial 0" to goto another phone. Right now the operator is going to ext. 24 and we need it to goto ext 21. How do I do this. I have seen where people have said that you can program using a laptop on the Voice mail computer.

Just in case you need it here is what I have J1632 R:E

Well the option is in the voicemail not the phone system.

If it is a keyvoice voicemail. You need to find out what the routing box number is that you are in when you want the option to press "0". Then just in the dial 0 field put in where you want the call to go.

If it in the greeting of the mailbox and they dial "0" instead of leaving a message. Look in the cloass of service for that mailbox. There is an operator option in there.

good luck.

Is 7999 a routing box?

Basicly you need to know what box your in right when your ready to press 0.

If your in box 7999 then the change should be in box 7999. If its a routing box then you should see the options right there on the programming page of the routing box 7999. If 7999 is a mailbox then go to the class of service of that mailbox.
