My Music On Hold is cutting in/out for a second here & there during songs. It is an MP3 player that sounds fine when not connected to the phone system and I don't think it is wiring/connection problems. Using a Bogen GA2 amp between mp3 player and the MOH input, 600ohm connection.
Sound quality is otherwise excellent except for the silent spots.

Are you calling in from a cell phone or a land line?

The problem occurs even if I just turn on the music at one of the stations or call in to the system from one of the stations - doesn't have to be from outside.

From the station might be a different problem. If you are listening in the speaker mode then press the mute key to test. The phones are half duplex and will switch in and out with background noise.

mute on / mute off, outside line or from a station - doesn't seem to make a difference. Audio cuts in/out and sometimes just goes to a buzz. I'm not sure... maybe my Bogen GA2 amp is bad?

Have you monitored the MOH port coming out of your Bogen amp with a butt set to see if it is there? Ensure you remove from phone system to make sure it isn't causing any interference.

make sure your bogen is ok and make sure you are at the same impedance as the Comdial which is 500 ohms. A 600 ohm source is close enough.

Bogen has a WMT-1 for matching the line impedence to 600 ohms. Like Cmdl_Guy says, Comdial for some odd reason choose 500 ohms for an oddball. How long are the silent spots anyway? If its not the GA2, then the services board could be having a problem.
