I am not a Comdial person, but I did buy some Comdial equipment to resell. I have a question I hope someone here can help me with. This is a Key Voice 8.1 which was connect to a DXP Impact. Will this system work with a DX-80? What is the dongle on the back of the PC for?
Thanks for your assistance.
Chris

The Dongle is the software key, If you loose it, you might as well throw the voicmail away. The DX-80 usually comes with an onboard vmail. You can hook up the external. You will have some work ahead of you in doing so with 8.1 software. ------------------ PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. WWW.ABUGSEYEVIEW.COM

If I had a customer who wanted to pursue this, would you consult, for a fee?

I would suggest you sell the DX80 customer a flash vm. No muss no fuss. Your PC may have issues even if just out of service!

I don't think 8.1 is even Y2K compatable. You will have to set the date to 1950 something to get the days to match up. Mark
