I have an MP5000 on customer site installed now for 4 months. It has locked up with all boards going crazy three times now. I power down and remove the FXSRV board re-seat and it comes back up. Do you think it is bad backplane? As usual Comdial has no answers

In all my years I have not seen a bad backplane on any equipment other than storm damage. I would stick with the SRV or cpu. Considering it goes crazy and not reconize any boards when it happens, I would think cpu. Have they tuened on Blackbox or pulled any Ilog files or done a BERR report or a CRASH DUMP report? If not I would suggest this to them. If your getting BERR errors, it should point the engineers to the problem with the hex code that come with it. ------------------ PARALLEL TECHNOLOGIES INC. One of the first ones I put in did that about 4-6 months after the install. Had to replace the CPU.
