(InnTouch KH64X with Eloquence VE voicemail - I'm using ports 25 and 26 on the system for the VM).

I'm still having trouble with this Eloquence VE not transferring calls on the InnTouch system. I know I had it working when I first started to set it up. However, once I had finished setting it up the next day, it did not transfer calls to extensions from the auto attendant - it will play all the intermediate recorded messages as if it is transferring, I'll hear the extension number being dialed by the VM, but then it just disconnects the call after about a minute or two. I re-initiallized the system to its default settings and thought I would start from scratch - following the instructions word for word to make sure I didn't miss anything. Even then it would not transfer calls. Is there a setting in the phone system that allows the voice mail to tranfer? I don't think there is anything in tthe phone system that I changed when setting up the VM except those things mentioned in the Installer's Manual.

This is a hard memory to dig out but it seems that on the 64 port Inntouch only the first 8 ports are admin phones and thus the only phones capable of transfer. Had this problem on an ESI Voiceworks once.

After thinking about it further it might be the 32 port that had only 8 and the rest had 16 admin ports but this could still be you problem as the last two ports would be 24 and 25. Just not sure any more and no longer have access to an Inntouch manual.

Bigkayeh is right about the ports but the KSU can be setup as a non H/M KSU. This KSU was not supported by Comdial after Jan. 1, 2000 because it is not Y2K compable. The elequence is not much to talk about either.

Your web-site lists Samsung and Mitel, two good choices for a new system. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

Comdial_Guy's post reminded me that on of the symptoms of the Y2k problem that we ran into was transfer issues. Had to set it to a pre-2000 date that matched the current years calander pattern. Ran into a lot reluctance from hotel owners about replacing them. Still quite a few motels in Branson that have them.
